German Fallschirmjäger 1st model side-lace jump boots
Extremely rare German Fallschirmjäger 1st model side-lace jump boots. Early textbook made example with all features present. The boots are in very good condition and show some use. The black leather is in good shape. The metal eyelets are all intact and show some oxidation. Properly maker marked and named with the cloth label machine straight stitched in its proper location « PAUL HOFFMANN & Co / STADTILM 39 », size 26. Small black leather pull tab is located along the front toe area, a feature particular to this maker. The rubber soles are fully present with only a small little wear along the toe of the right pair missing. An important note is that they retain their original factory applied stacked soles and nicely stitched in heavy white thread. Screws and fasteners are intact, show some rust, and bent from use. A wooden disk was found in the boots when they were found in the 1990's in Eastern Europe. The disk is named « Förster » and retains a Luftwaffe feldpost number « L24293 ». The ultimate in Fallschirmjäger collecting, of the utmost rarity, and the rarest set of boots to have been offered on the public market !
