German Heer artillery crusher cap, « combat worn »
Description
A period German Heer artillery pipped crusher cap. A true and factory issued example. Piped in red for artillery. The cap body is manufactured from a nice ribbed wool material. The cap has seen field use and wear. Some minor soiling and staining present. The front features and retains its period applied BeVo flatewire insignia. The visor itself is still rather pliable and exhibits light crazing. No major tears or rips on the caps exterior other than some wear along the top front of the cap along the pipping. Manufactured with a perforated ersatz oilcloth material sweatband. It is still factory sewn and maintained in place with some light wear all around. The interior of the cap is lined in a nice gray rayon material with no tears but some general light wear, also maker marked but faded. Rarely offered on the public market and missing from almost all headgear collections. A real combat piece of headgear.
