Description
A German Heer officers M1943 field service cap. French manufactured example out of a finer feldgrau wool. Featuring full silver piped crown and two button closure in the front. Caps exterior shows some use. Insignia is the dark green variety that is nicely machine straight stitched. Stitched before the caps final competition and can be seen int he detailed photos below. The field cap retains a partial leather sweat band in a wider width as common with officers and this particular type of field cap. Lining is golden rayon and only faintly stamped with the caps size « 58 ». A desirable and attractive example in today's market.
