German Heer tropical cut-off breast eagle, « US veteran bring back »
A period German Heer tropical enlisted man's breast eagle that has been cut-off as a souvenir by a US war veteran. Recently acquired and from a deceased veteran's estate in New York. This is a very nice example with a larger part of the green combat tunic material still attached. It shows how a factory applied eagle is attached with the handsewn upper border and flip-down machine stitched sides. Breast eagle is a textbook « BeVo » manufactured example. A scare and desirable piece of a real war time souvenir. Choice.
