German pioneer tool bag in ersatz material
Description
A very rare and almost never encountered pioneer tool carrier bag. Late-war model manufactured from a grey ersatz covered material fabric. The tool bag is in good condition with some slight oxidation. The carrying strap is still present and attached. Featuring grey web closure straps tipped with metal as seen on MP38/40 ammunition pouches. One small metal retains buckle is partially absent. The contents of this pouch would include files, pliers, screwdrivers, etc. Period screwdriver is included. This particular late-war example was designed to be carrier over the shoulder. It was recovered in the small village of La Gleize, Belgium and was part of the old La Gleize museum collection. A very nice and rarer piece of pioneer fieldgear.
