M18 German Heer transitional helmet, « W66 »
Description
A superb M1918 German Heer single decal reissue helmet. Helmet is marked « W66 ». A textbook reissue helmet featuring a nice feldgrau factory applied semi rough finish. Decal is present and rates in at over 98% with some light crazing and toning. Some light scuffs and oxidation present from storage. Split pins intact, complete and properly painted in a smooth paint per this type of helmet configuration. Interior is matching and complete. Typical mid to late war light tan pigskin leather liner. Inks tamped « 58 » along the tongue. Chinstrap is complete and nicely RBNr « 0/0750/0100 » marked along the tip. A exceptional condition transitional helmet.
