M35 Luftwaffe double decal combat helmet, « SE66 »
Description
Very nice M1935 Luftwaffe double decal combat helmet. The helmet is an « SE66 » with a lot number of « 3953 ». The helmets exterior features a very nice early coat of deeper hue blue. Semi gloss in feel. It shows some light storage use with several scuffs and scraps but in unissued condition. Both eagle and tricolor decals are present and rate in at approximately 97%. Split pins original to the helmet, matching in color and securely attached. The helmet's interior is in excellent condition. Leather liner is supple and in very good shape still retaining its natural color. Some light markings from the helmet at some point resting on something. Complete with ink stamped marking for size along one of the tongues « 59 ». Drawstring original also to the liner. Ink stamped along the dome but unreadable. Retains its rarer and early brown leather chinstrap. Nicely marked « LLG Schlesien 1939 » and ink stamped. Overall a very high condition early Luftwaffe helmet with all the right attributes. Choice.
