M40 Heer two-tone spray camouflage combat helmet
Description
An early M1940 Heer single decal two-tone spray camouflage combat helmet. The helmet is an « ET64 » with a lot number of « 738 ». The exterior features a nice and slightly heavier coating of tan base application with the additional green camouflage finish. All still retaining a matte finish. The exterior paint is very nice with normal scuffs, scraps and some dings. The Heer decal has been properly taped off before the camouflage application. It rates in at around roughly 80%. Split pins are camouflaged and secured to the helmet. The helmets interior remains as found and undisturbed. Leather is pliable and has a nice dark tone. Chinstrap is partially complete with a small section missing. Drawstring present. Plenty of debris and dust around the metal liner rim. Unique feature is the name tag that is barely readable written on a piece of rectangular leather still attached. Liner is size stamped clearly in ink « 57 ». A really nice and striking example of a standard two-tone tan and green camouflage combat helmet.
