Superb early aluminum Heer combat belt buckle. It retains over 99% of its factory green painted finish, marked on the reverse with the maker's initials and the date « L.G.&S. 39 ». It comes complete with leather tab. All stitching complete and tightly affixed. Marked with the maker, location and year of manufacture. « GOTTLIEB & SOHNE OBERSTEIN 1939 ».
