Description

A very nice and rare early MP38/40 pouch in rayon web construction. Typical and textbook manufactured pouch by the firm « DKK » (Friedrich Offerman u. Soehne, Lederwarenfabrik, Bensberg). It is made from an olive green rayon blend webbing material which is finer in quality and durability. The front of the pouch features brown supple leather straps with metal tips and aluminum rivets. This maker is known for that feature along with the rectangular stitching on the retaining loops. It is in nice worn condition. The markings including the maker, date (1941), and Waffenamt are located on the inside of the flaps. They are stamped in a purple hue ink. Weapon destination marking is located on the top back. Leather belt attachment loops are present and in very good condition. This is the rarest early model !
