Unissued early-war German low ankle combat boots, « Tack & Cie. 1940 »
A superb and rare pair of German low ankle combat boots. Early-war construction in natural brown leather. Properly and fully marked with all the information including size « 27 1/2 », date « 4 40 », maker marked « TACK & CIE », which make them one of the first pairs of low ankle boots produced. Comes with a pair of original period laces. Eyelets and fast hooks are complete and retain all their black factory finish. Steel heels are marked « 19 L/R » respectively for size. The classic three piece soles are unissued. Glue remnants are present and all hobnails and wooden pegs are complete. Early pairs like this are extremely difficult to find especially in mint unissued condition. A choice set that would display lovely with a early fully dressed combat mannequin.
