5th Army captain's US M41 field combat jacket
Description
A US M1941 field jacket for a captain in the 5th Army. Constructed from a khaki-green windproof and water-resistant cotton poplin with a flannel lining. Standard and typical buttoned tabs at the waist and sleeves. Front closure by a period standard zipper that is hidden behind a buttoned flap manufactured by « CONMAR ». Two wise pleats along the back and button tab under the collar. Sized in roughly a « 38 ». Period hand sewn 5th Army patch along with a set of nice combat used captains bars along the shoulder loops. All complete and period attached. A choice example.
