Bicolor MP38/40 magazine pouch, « dkk41 »
Description
A superb early-war MP38/40 magazine pouch. Factory construction from two different types of material. Natural brown leather closure straps and blue web belt loops. Two of the flaps are blue ink-stamped, one with the maker's code and date « dkk41 » for the maker « Offermann & Sohne Bensberg » and the other one with the Waffenamt, but barely visible. The soldier's initials « Y.B. » are written on the back. This magazine pouch was found many years ago in the Barbanchon family's house in La Cambe, Normandy. A rarer variant to encounter in excellent condition.
