Description
Superb early German k98 combat rifle bayonet set. The bayonet is maker marked and dated « 41fnj » corresponding to the manufacturer Alexander Coppel in Solingen. It comes with its matching scabbard, serial numbered « 8845R ». The original brown leather frog is nicely maker marked and dated « 1940 ». The orignal troddel or portepee comes with the set and has never been removed since the war. The set is in overall excellent condition.
