Early German k98 combat rifle bayonet set. The bayonet is maker marked « J.Sch. » for « Jetter und Scheerer » and dated « 1938 ». It comes with its matching scabbard, serial numbered « 5966 ». Unit marked blackened leather frog « 3/J.R.74. ». A k98 bayonet troddel or portepee comes with the set. The set is in nice worn condition.
