Early Kriegsmarine belt buckle, « R.S.&S. 1938 »
Description
A very nice nice early-war Kriegsmarine enlisted mans belt buckle. It retains 80% of its original factory gold wash finish. The buckle is marked on the reverse with the makers initials « R.S.&S. ». Buckle still retains its original natural brown leather tab, nicely marked and dated « R. SIEPER & SOHNE 1938 ». Stitching is present and almost complete with missing threads along the one side. The « KM » eagle is nicely stamped on the tab. A scarce and desirable buckle.
