Early M38 Luftwaffe Paratrooper German Helmet, « ET68 »
Description
This is a very nice early-war, single decal, M1938 Luftwaffe paratrooper « Fallschirmjäger » helmet, it is a « ET68 » with low lot number « 695 ». The exterior of the helmet still retains over 90% of its original green factory smooth paint, the second pattern ET type Luftwaffe decal rates at over 85% or better. Early aluminium liner band, yellow inner dome pad, the leather is in excellent condition and still supple. It is nicely ink stamped with sizes and maker’s details, soldier’s initiales are written on the leather « HK ». The original chinstraps are present, the extremity of the long part is missing, so they can’t be closed. A very nice early example with a great combat look.
