Description

An early Heer aluminum combat belt buckle. The buckle retains almost none of its factory finish. A true combat buckle. Early maker marked and dated « 1936 ». Complete and secured stitching still remains in place. The buckle is nicely unit marked « 9./J.R.78 ». This unit formed in Central Germany saw extensive action in Russia. A very nice and rather interesting combat buckle to a special unit.
