Description

An exceptional early standard issue MG 34/42 aluminum ammo box that has been repurposed for medical use as a first aid kit. The set also has been period camouflaged twice in two different tan paints. Overall paint rates 92%. First the typical early bright yellow paint that is found in the North African and Mediterranean Theater than followed by the standard tan as seen later in the war. Paint shows period use with scratches, scuffs and some scraps. Several areas of fingerprint impressions are present. Red Cross emblem retains very good color and contrast. Interior contents are photographed with several bandages, dressings etc. The set was found many years ago in the Normandy Region, France. A true medics first aid case with the possible vehicle or serial number painted along the top and boxed off. Choice.
