Exceptional M38 German Fallschirmjäger three-tone camouflage combat helmet , « woodwork find / untouched »
Description
An exceptional early M1938 German Fallschirmjäger paratrooper three-tone camouflage combat helmet shell. The helmet shell is an « ET71 » with a lot number of « 4199 ». The helmet was sourced out of the woodwork just a few months ago in the USA and saved from the trash bin. The helmet's stunning exterior features a heavy thick « zimmerit » material paste with the top application of textbook three tone camouflage spray colors of brick red, tan and green. Late-war colors as seen on other equipment after « 1943 ». The colors are striking, vivid and very contrasting. Former evidence of chicken wire is present by impressions to the zimmerit paste. In the detailed photos below you can see even some pieces of twigs or natural material that remains stuck in the paint. The spanner bolts are all present and untouched, yet covered in the camouflage finish. The interior is incomplete and retains only its aluminum liner band and partial chinstraps. Some of the rubber from the early pads is present. One of the most striking camouflage paratrooper helmets that we have seen. Choice and Selected Offering!
