Extremely rare German SG42 bayonet

Description
An original and extremely rare « SG42 / Seitengewehr M-42 » bayonet. The SG42 Bayonet was designed to replace the standard German bayonet of World War Two. It was produced in limited numbers. The SG42 bayonet doubled as a fighting knife, and with the addition of a multi tool that fit neatly inside the grip, it was also a versatile tool that could be implemented on the frontlines. The Eickhorn firm, using the makers code « cof », appears to be the only company that produced these bayonets. The set is in good overall condition with signs of wear and storage, the blade is marked with the manufacturer code « cof » and the Waffenamt. The multi-tool is marked « tk ». Both the grips and the scabbard are made of brown Bakelite. This is a unique opportunity to acquire an iconic piece.
