Fallschirmjäger death card, « Joseph Meyer », originally from the Eastern Townships

Description

Death card of German paratrooper Joseph Meyer, a member of the 2nd Fallschirmjäger Division. He was killed on December 7, 1943, in Kotschorowo / Shitomir. He was one of more than 3,000 dead soldiers enlisted in the Eastern Townships (part of Belgium annexed to Germany in May 1940) who were killed in combat between 1941 and 1945.
