Description

A very nice factory produced pair of 10x50 power field binoculars. The binoculars are marked with maker « HENSOLDT-WETZLAR » on the bridge, indicating that these were produced prior to 1941, when the company started using 3 letter code « bmj ». The serial number « 14569 » is quite low, as by 1943 the company was well into 6 digit numbers. On the opposing side of the bridge is the series marking « DIALYT » and the power is also marked with the numbers « 10 X 50 ». The series was superseded by the Dienstglas model early in the war. They retain over 95% of their original factory applied tan finish. The binoculars retain their original neck strap and retaining the original tan painted studs, also come with a black rubber protective lens cover. Optics are relatively clear around 95%. Very nice early pair.
