German bakelite 6x30 power issue field binoculars, « Dienstglas cxn »
Description
A very nice pair of 6x30 power issued field binoculars. A rare model of Dienstglas maker marked « cxn » by the firm « Emil Busch A.-G., Optische Industrie, Rathenow ». Manufactured body is from a nice dark colored red bakelite material. Optics are clear. Tan metal components are nicely present. The set retains over 94% of their finish which is commonly missing. The axis has been glued but not visible. Complete also with neck strap. They come with their original case, black pressed cardboard « Presstoff » construction, in very good condition, nicely marked with the maker’s code, the date « CXN 4 » and the Waffenamt. Overall a very nice and very desirable set. Perfect for a late-war combat display.
