German bakelite 6x30 power issue field binoculars, « Dienstglas cxn »
Description
A very nice pair of 6x30 power issued field binoculars. A rarer model of « Dienstglas » maker marked « cxn » by the firm « Emil Busch A.-G., Optische Industrie, Rathenow ». Manufactured body is from a nice dark colored red bakelite material. Optics are excellent and very clear. No cracks or breaks, complete and unrestored. Tan painted metal components are nicely present. They retain over 90% of their finish which is commonly missing. Serial numbered « 406421 ». The set is also marked on the base « 67/8403 ». Screws are complete and mostly unmolested. The top markings for unknown reasons are painted in a bright period yellow. Overall a very nice and easily complete set.
