German Kriegsmarine 6x30 power issued field binoculars in case. A complete and excellent set. The binoculars are factory painted tan. They are properly marked for Kriegsmarine issue Nr. 830 and manufactured by the famous optics and lens firm « CARL ZEISS » serial number 2082680. The set features all matching light natural brown colored leather. All in near mint condition, supple and with no dry rot. Some scuffs and light doings from storage. One unique feature is the leather securing stubs are factory painted lighter tan then the body giving it a nice dual tone camouflage look. Optics are crisp and clear with a + in the right optics for distance gauge. The neck strap is unique to this set and is also Waffenampted for the Kriegsmarine. The buttoning flap is present, supple and complete. The len cover is typical Zeiss manufacturing with a lighter tan leather covering fo the spring fasteners. The set is complete with its manufacturer case. Same color leather and same lighter tan rivets used in construction. The case retains its original strap in very nice condition that is KM Waffenampted. The case's main closer strap is present complete and has the same lighter tan leather covers on the springs. The case body is also maker marked and KM Waffenampted underneath. This set is very rare and almost never seen on the open market. The only factory produced 6x30 camouflage set produced during the war. Of extreme rarity and desirability.
