German combat medics scissors, « 1942 »
Description
A period pair of German combat medical scissors. These were used by the frontline medics to cut the clothing and any other non metal components found of wounded soldiers. The design and specific shape of the scissors allows for the removal without injuring the skin underneath. This set is housed in its original brown leather storage case. Case is marked « AUG. SCHWAN & Co. AACHEN 1942 ». Never used and in perfect condition. A scarce and highly collectable medical item.
