A period manufactured directional sign for « DACHSTEIN ». Dachstein is located in Alsace near Strasburg, France. Typical wood construction. Painted in blue on a white background. This region of France was annexed to Germany in 1940. Shows moderate wear with paint loss. The reverse is reinforced with two vertical pieces of wood. Center shows evidence of mounting. The directional arrow was cut for use after the war. Dimensions: 100x27cm.
