German early-war blue mg34/42 ammunitions case, « special / 1939 »
Description
A period German early-war factory produced example of a MG34/42 ammunition case in aluminum for special rounds « TRACER ». The ammo case is stamped with the maker, waffenamt and year of production « 1939 » in the classic position under the handle. The ammo case has a factory steel blue painted finish. A later applied green designation strip was added to easily identify the case for special contents. The green painted stripe would designate the case for green tracer rounds. In overall very nice condition and retaining over 90% of its finish. Making this a very desirable and scarce ammunition case for any weapons or field gear / equipment collector.
