German early-war MG34/42 ammunitions case, « Öl-Petrol »
Description
A German early-war factory produced example of a MG34/42 ammunition case. Manufactured from a sturdy sheet aluminum. The ammo case is stamped with the maker and date under the handle area « 1939 » and Waffenamt further down. The ammo case would have been used for storage of Öl and Petrol needed for the cleaning of the « MG ». It is also period numbered to the weapon's serial number « 9866 ». The leather tabs on the handles are complete. This is a desirable ammunition case for any equipment or weapons collector. Excellent early example!
