Description

At the very beginning and initial creation of the classic A-frame « STURMGEPACK » is this very rare and almost unique example. The earliest known in construction and dating roughly early « 1939 ». The A-frame shows features that would be changed and adjusted as the years went by and developed into a more roughed design. This can be seen in the detailed photos below. To include the reinforced outer placement of the crossed backpack strap attachment hooks and the reversed position of the leather straps. The straps would be incorporated into the main « A » of the bag in a short amount of time and the position would be reversed of the leather straps for easier mounted of the bag or zeltbahn. Buckles and hooks are in aluminum. Nicely ink stamped with the maker’s name, the location and the date « 1939 ». A desirable example of an early untouched and only recently found A-frame. It is in nice worn condition.
