German gas mask canister in tan camouflage, « eph43 »
Description
A period German gas mask canister that has been camouflaged in a late-war tan paint. The canister is in untouched condition. It has received a period application of a late tan paint. Covering over 90% of it the surface with some run off in the interior. Nicely worn with some minor scuffs and scraps. Pull tab is complete and retains its strap in green web. Faintly numbered along the top « 174 ». Maker marked « eph 43 » and ink stamped with the Waffenamt. A very nice and desirable example that can be complete rather easily.
