German G/K43 ZF4 sniper scope and prototype carrying case set, « unique »

A complete and rare G/K43 Zf4 scope with prototype carrying case set. The set was initial captured from the Walther Factory by a US major in 1945 and shipped to the US as a war trophy. The set is in excellent unissued condition with only the slightest storage wear. Prototype and unique large metal scope case manufactured by firm « jvb » and properly maker marked along with the desirable Waffenamt. Retaining over 98% of its unique and highly sought after factory applied blue-grey paint finish. Belt attachment web strap is the rarest blue grey web variety, complete and in mint condition. The exterior is complete with its special and highly sought after tan web carrying strap in mint condition. The scope case interior is complete with all permanent mountings and wood block form pieces along the bottom. All interior pieces are present and fit perfectly into the unique prototype case. The Zf4 scope itself is maker marked and weapons designated « Gw ZF 4 », serial number « 17896 » and manufactured by the firm « ddx » for the maker « Voigtländer u. Sohn AG, Braunschweig ». All pieces and accessories are in mint unissued condition. They include a unique scope key that is attached by metal wire to the frame. A pair of amber sniper scope replacement lenses in their factory packed brown colored paper. Stamped metal adjustment dial cover that is usually missing. A rare and extremely desirable complete rubber eye scope that is pliable and in like-new condition and finally a choice mint conditioned lens scope cover in blackened leather.
