German Heer assault gunners wrapper, « Sturmgeschütz »
Description
A beautiful German Heer issue EM/NCO’s assault gunners wrapper. Factory made and issued example in overall excellent condition. Constructed in a late-war quality feldgrau wool. For an unknown reason, the left sleeve was replaced, this seems to have been done at the time (see photos). Retains a pair of « Unterfeldwebel » shoulder straps. Collar tabs pipped in red rayon are present and machine straight stitched. « BeVo » breast eagle is zig-zag machine stitched on a green wool backing that is hand applied on the blouse. Exterior is void of any rips, tears or any staining. The interior is complete. Nicely ink stamped with the date « K44 » and size information. The wrapper is sized in a modern day large and will fit any mannequin with ease. A choice example!
