German Heer Cavalry EM/NCO’s visor cap, « Alfred Valet - 1937 »
Description
German Heer Cavalry cap for enlisted men and non-commissioned officers.. The visor cap is excellent and remains in very light worn condition and still holds its beautiful pre-war « Tellermütze » shape. The cap is executed in green wool with yellow piping. Early aluminum insignia is present and original to the cap. Black vulcanized fiber visor with orange interior. Chinstrap is present and untouched. Orange-brown lining marked with the size of « 55 1/2 ». The celluloid sweat diamond is complete. The sweatband is complete and shows light wear, the reverse is nicely ink stamped with the makers details « Alfred Valet », the date « 1937 » and unit marking « 4/KR18 » . A very nice early cavalry cap in excellent condition.
