Description
A super and atypical German tropical sun / pith helmet, first pattern, dark olive shade cotton twill construction. Very nice and unusual detail, the rivet protection band and the crown at the top of the helmet are in tan canvas, this gives this helmet a unique look. Body is in near mint condition and retains its excellent color. Leather chinstrap is complete and intact. Both aluminum shields are original to the helmet and retain over 95% of their finish. The liner system is mint, the leather sweatband is nicely marked with the maker, the date « B.K.41 » and the size « 56 ». Very difficult to find in this condition and with an exceptional look.
