German Heer enlisted mans infantry overseas cap

Description

A nice and rare early German Heer enlisted mans overseas cap with period applied infantry soutache.  Early green feldgrau wool construction. The cap retains its factory hand stitched « BeVo » eagle and cockade. Period application of a white soutache for infantry is nicely applied and folded up and over into the interior of the cap. The interior is lined in a grey cotton linen material, blue ink stamped with maker’s details and size « 54 ». Both eyelets are present and complete. Choice early example in perfect condition.
