Description
A very nice and rare German Heer Gebirgsjäger bergmütze. A true factory made and issued example. Made from the classic feldgrau wool material. Featuring the correct light brown buttons that are period sewn along the front of the cap. Early forest green and correct « BeVo » period hand-applied insignia is present and untouched. Cap body shows wear and some moth damage over the decades. Interior is complete and shows nice period wear. Linen is the classic grey ribbed linen material. Slightly readable makers' marks is present. Sweatband from a thin cheese cloth brown covered ersatz material is present and slight separating in some areas. Sourced by a close college directly out of the woodwork in Austria. The cap has remained only in the original founders collection. The cap is a beautiful untouched true Gebirgsjäger bergmütze.
