German issued spare gas mask filter pouch, « red cross repurposed »
Description
A period factory issued German spare gas mask filter pouch that has been period repurposed for « Red Cross » or combat medics use. Standard durable feldgrau green rayon material. Two red crosses are painted on the flap. Ink stamped with the maker and dated of manufacture along the interior « 1945 ». Evidence of combat wear with minor staining is present. Very nice and difficult item to find for a combat medic display.
