German late-war Waffen-SS fur vest, « Felljacke »
Description
A late-war Waffen-SS cold weather fur vest. Late-war typical construction. Factory made example featuring the classic earth grey-brown linen material commonly seen on the longer parkas. Interior is lined in the same rabbit fur as well. Retains all its factory stitched natural horn buttons. Features four pocket openings along the front. The inside of one pocket is ink stamped with size « 2 ». The vest is in near mint condition and bearly worn. US veteran's name is written along the back « EARL H. LEVER » and most likely captured during the winter of 1944/1945. A very scarce piece of winter clothing.
