German Luftwaffe Flak helper tunic
Description
Superb German Luftwaffe Flak helper tunic, manufactured in the traditional blue-grey wool fabric and displaying all the typical characteristics of this particular type of uniform. The tunic retains its shoulder straps with white piping, characteristic of an assignment to an anti-aircraft defence unit. It features a buttoned front closure, two pleated breast pockets with buttoned flaps, as well as adjustable two-button cuffs. The left breast displays a blue triangular Luftwaffe eagle insignia, while the upper sleeve retains its original triangular insignia, embroidered in yellow on a black background and bearing the inscription « Ost Südetenland ». The tunic remains in excellent condition throughout. A superb and highly desirable example, which would make a fantastic addition to any advanced collection of Luftwaffe or German youth organisation uniforms from the Second World War!
