German M34 SS/SD double decal lightweight helmet
Description
Stunning M34 SS double decal lightweight helmet, it was worn by members of the SS / SD « Sicherheitsdienst ». This is simply the nicest example we are aware of, it is virtually mint. It retains the totality of the factory semi-matte apple green paint. Both decals are 99% present. The factory protective varnish applied on them is visible in the close-up photos below. The interior is in the same condition as the exterior, the helmet looks to have never or very little been worn. The shell is nicely marked « EDELSTAHL ». One of the rivets has come off the piece of cork that is placed between the shell and the liner system, but this does not affect the appearance of the helmet in any way. The liner is in perfect condition, the natural brown leather is supple and blue ink stamped with size « 60 ». Original drawstring and black leather chinstrap are present. The chinstrap is in top condition as well. If you are collecting QUALITY, this one is for you. Choice !!!
