Description

A superb German M38 paratrooper tan camouflage finish combat helmet. The helmet is an « ET66 » with a lot number of « 4884 ». The helmet's exterior retains a spray tan camouflage finish. A normal amount of combat wear is present to include scuffs, scrapes and abrasions. Proper rim wear and overall a very pleasing look. The Luftwaffe decal can be seen underneath the paint. All spanner bolts are present and remain tightly attached to the liner. Paint rates in at approximately 90%. The interior remains untouched and undisturbed. Bolts are solid, no play and complete. A mid-war model liner featuring a mixture of early yellow rubber pads with an aluminum liner yet retaining the later style chinstraps. Plenty of dust and natural debris around the band. Standard example produced by « Heisler ». Liner is also named to the former soldier « Uff. Weber ». Liner is stamped « 54 » for size. Chinstraps complete and in very good condition, snap marked « PRYM 4 ». Stitching remaining tight. Overall a very difficult and very desirable helmet with a very hard to find all tan camouflage finish. A choice top shelf camouflage paratrooper helmet !
