German M38 paratrooper tan camouflage combat helmet, « ET68 »
Description
A superb German M38 Paratrooper tan camouflage finish combat helmet. The helmet is an « ET68 » with a lot number of « 4851 ». The helmet's exterior retains a spray tan camouflage finish. A normal amount of combat wear is present to include scuffs, scrapes and abrasions. Proper rim wear and overall a really nice untouched look. The Luftwaffe decal can be seen underneath the paint ghosting. All spanner bolts are present and remain tightly attached to the liner. The paint rates in at approximately 95%. The paratrooper helmet liner remains untouched and undisturbed as found condition. An early to mid-war example liner from aluminum and featuring classic leather chinstrap is present. Leather of the liner is excellent, properly stamped and retains a choice light tan color. Chinstraps are complete, lightly used and have no condition issues. Snap is marked « PRYM 4 ». Red painted initials along the back right are present. Interior bolts and liner band shows plenty of dust, debris and natural accumulation over the decades still intact and uncleaned. One rear locknut was added by the previous collector. Overall a really choice and very difficult to find tan camouflage paratrooper helmet. Another top shelf camouflage paratrooper helmet!
