German M40 Heer combat helmet, « E.F.64 »
Description
A nice untouched M1940 Heer combat helmet, it comes from the east of France and has remained in its as found condition. It is an « E.F.64 » with the lot number « 22133 ». The exterior retains over 95% of its field brushed matte paint applied for camouflage, the Heer decal is present under this coat of paint. The top of the shell has a crack from a hit. It has some handling marks to include slight abrasions scattered around the exterior. All split pins present and tightly secured. The helmets interior is in overall excellent condition remaining completely untouched. The leather is supple and retains its original light color, blue ink stamped with the size « 56 ». Original drawstring is present. Chinstrap is original to the helmet and fully intact, unmarked example. Very nice example in untouched condition.
