German M41 Heer tropical field cap, « 1941 »
Description
A period German tropical issue M41 service field cap for an enlisted man or NCO. Factory produced and of the earliest known examples. Constructed from classic light green cotton twill fabric as opposed to the darker olive green material that followed later. The cap shows real combat use, fading and sun exposure. One air vent grommet is missing. Both set of « BeVo » tropical eagle and cockade are period applied. The interior is textbook lined in red linen material, ink stamped with the maker’s name, the size « 56 » and the date « 1941 ». Interior shows use, staining and natural wear. Great combat look !
