German M43 EM/NCO field cap, « 23rd panzer division / combat used »
Description
German M43 em/nco's field cap used by a member of the « 23rd Panzer Division ». A true combat used example that shows evidence of going through a war. Factory made and issued piece that still retains its machine stitched « BeVo » national eagle and cockade. Soiled, stained yet in good condition. Exterior shows some staining along the top of the cap almost like something was resting on the cap for a long time. But no major rips or tears. The interior is complete yet shows a well lived in cap. Some separation along the front, it can be restored but best to be left in its untouched and undisturbed condition. Soiled and stained. The cap is ink stamped with the RBNr. « 0/0250/2297 », dated « 1944 » and sized stamped with what looks to be « 57 ». Classic golden colored rayon. Brass sheet metal cut construction of the actual « 23rd Panzer Division » emblem. It's affixed to the side of the M43 cap with simple and typical feldgrau thread. A nice divisional and season M43 cap that is rarely offered on the public market. An example with real character.
