German MG34 optical sight carrier case, « M.G.Z.40 »
Description
A very nice German MG34 optical sight carrier case. The case is made from sheet steel and nicely painted in a green coat. Proper weapons scope designation along the top is still present in white paint, « M.G.Z.40 ». The metal closure catch is fully functional and still retains its factory applied short web pull tab. The carrier case retains both the original back heavy attachment support straps. The scope case is maker maker and ink stamped with the Waffenamt. A nice example of a very rare and desirable MG accessory.
