German MG42 optics periscope extender, « f.v.s. »
Description
A late-war period and highly sought after German MG42 optics periscope extender. Made from a stamped and formed sheet metal. Retaining 96% of its factory tan finish. Properly ink stamped in a purple hue ink with the maker « f.v.s. » (Spindler & Hoyer Optische Fabrik) and Waffenamt. Periscope would have been mounted to the standard optics system. This would offer the user a lower silhouette by bringing down the observation and elevating the weapons carrier system slightly. Commonly missing from most advanced weapons collections. The periscope is complete and would only have the addition of the rubber eye rest from the scope itself. Choice and rare weapons related accessory.
