German MKb42 firing pin in excellent condition. The MKb42 was the predecessor of the famous German MP 44 assault rifle. It was issued in limited numbers, primarily for troop trials, but it was used on the Eastern Front before the MP 43 and MP 44 were introduced. The MKb42 is extremely rare, and parts for it are rarer still. The firing pin of the MKb42 is characterized by a square cross section with a radiused groove along each face, with four flutes running the length of the pin.This firing pin is compatible with the Mkb 42, MP 43, MP 44, and Stg 44. It was stored in a waxed canvas pouch which fit into one of the compartments of the magazine pouches along with the other spare parts.
